LONDON WOOL SALES

The. Bank of New South Wales to-day ■received tlio following cable advice from London: "Competition was good and general at the wool sales. Merinos are the same as last sale’s dosing rates; crossbreds, 5 to 71 per cent dearer; slipes, 5 per cent dearer. The average of the estimated prices of New Zcalatql mousy ilccco ordinary top-making wools are: Me'rind, 60/64’s, 12*dj line halfbved, 56/58’s, 13i}d; half-bred, 50/56’s, lid; tlu’oe-quarterbrcd, 48/50’s, 9|d; lnie crossbred, 46/48’s, 9sd; medium crossbred, 44/46’s, 9d; crossbred, 40/44 s, 9d.” . Messrs. Dalgety and Company have received the following cable message from London, dated September 15:— .Lite London wool sales opened with good general competition, a good attendance, and an average selection. As compared with the closing rates of last series, greasy merino and scoured merino are unchanged ; greasy halfbrods, Ad to jd higher; scoured halfbrods, unchanged: crossbred, fine.
