A 23 per cent increase within two years in the number of cigarettes made in Hie United States is disclosed by tho Department of Commerce Report published to-day. It is estimated that last year 138,05(5,000,000 cigarettes were produced, and they had’ a factory value of £143,300,000, a gpin of nearly 30 per cent- compared with .1033, when the last report'was made.
