The September meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers Union, Gisborne branch, will he held in Potties’ lounge at 2 p.m. on Friday. Ratepayers of the Wainpu Comity are reminded that a rebate of 5 per cent will bo allowed on all general rates for the current year if paid on or before October 1, 1936 A lantern lecture will be delivered i>V Mr. James Berry, who has lately returned from a visit to Jerusalem and the Holy Land, in the Grey Street Hall at 7.30 on Thursday. The second reunion of the Gisborne School Veterans’ Association, to take place next Saturday evening, promises to lie another unqualified success. Tin* committee litis arranged an excellent programme, and any old pupil of the Gisborne School between the years 1872-1902 is eligible to attend. Bast year’s function proved a most enjoyable gathering. On Saturday evening it large contingent from the Coast is expected. Air. .1, 11. Bull will he the guest of honour. In order to enable, catering arrangements to he completed the committee would appreciate early application for tickets.
