SIGNING OF TREATY 1 LONDON CEREMONIES CAIRO HEARS SPEECHES (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 26. The ceremony connected with the signing of tho Anglo-Egyptian Treaty was witnessed by a privileged company which included, besides tho two delegations and their officials, the wives and daughters of Ihe Egyptian delegates. Speeches given by tho Foreign .Secretary, Mr. Anthony Eden, and Nahas Pasha, were broadcast, to Egypt. In both speeches stress was laid upon the community of interests of the two countries, which' found expression in the treaty. The agreement was hailed as marking the inauguration of a new period of fuller and freer co-operation in AngloEgyptian relations. This evening Nahas Pasha and his colleagues of the Egyptian delegation were entertained at dinner at the Foreign Office. Mr. Eden presided, and orner Ministers present, were Mr. nainsay -MacDonald, Mi. Neville Chamberlain, Sir John Simon, Lord Halifax, Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, Viscount Swinton, Mr. W. G. Ormshy-l'ioro, and Sir Thomas Inskip. The High Commissioners for the Dominions and India, Lord Crewe, Sir Austen Chamberlain, and Mr. Arthur Greenwood wen 1 among other guests. During the. afternoon the Egyptian delegates made a tour of the. Port of London at the invitation of the Port of London Authority.
