Trie prospect of a tour of New Zenland by an Indian cricket team during the coming season is already arousing, interest among players throughout the, country, and in Poverty Hay the good chances of Gisborno being included in the itinerary are being discussed with ■much satisfaction. The district team was weakened last, season by tho departure of four of the. outstanding representative players, but tho Indian tour will give a strong impetus to til© 'game wherever the tourists play, and if the. side, is brought to Otfsbome it should be possible to turn out a fairly good team to moot it. Details of the itinerary, and of tho financial commitments into which district, associations desiring matches will"* have to enlrr, have, not yet been decided, but their appearance will givo the cricketing enthusiasts of the Dominion something to look forward
