Competition in the production of largesized eggs appears, to have taken the feathered world by storm. Details of two exceptional efforts on the part of liens have been published recently, and this morning a duck owned by Mrs. W. Itennie, 528 Childers road, produced an egg that put both the previously-noted specimens in the shade. Measuring 3|in. in length and 2iin. in diameter, this egg weighed Mem, Its shell was perfect, whereas those of the earlier specimens were fragile and marred by wrinkles.
