FIVE-DAY WEEK
BOROUGH COUNCIL OFFICE
The introduction of the 40-hour week, decided upon by the Gisborne Borough Council last evening, is also to be extended to the members of the council's office staff.
As indicated in the report of the council proceedings - , the reduced hours will be applied to the outside staff of the. borough. In addition to this the council has. decided upon a five-day week for its office staff. The Borough Council's offices consequently will be open from Monday to Friday and will remain closed all day Saturday. This innovation will commence next week.
