Exceptional building activity in Auckland is indicated in the near future. Large numbers of applications for loans for home building are being received by post offices under the State Advances Corporation scheme, while the Government’s housing scheme also should benefit the building trade considerably. Plans are said to be projected for several large Queen street buildings.
