£20,000 LEFT TO FRIEND
LONDON, April 18. Half a fortune of £40,000 has been left to his lifelong friend and business partner by Mr. Frederick James Peregrine Birch, who was the. oldest member of the London Stock Exchange when he died last December, aged 85. The friend is Mr. Lionel George Trower, of Brompton square, S.W.. who also inherits two houses, the con tents of Haddon Manor, Mr. Birch's home at Peterborough (Northants), and the residue of the property, after .bequests to relatives.
