CHARGE OF RECEIVING

Charged with receiving at. different times oiiautities of tin to a total value of £612, the property of the Government Railways Department, Douglas Charles Stevens, aged 32, a metal traveller, appeared before Mr. K. D. Mosley, S.M., to-day. . Evidence is being given by Charles Bold, formerly in charge of the nonferrous section of the stores at the railway workshops at the Hutt, and who is serving sentence for theft oi tin, in which he alleges various occasions on which the accused received deliveries of tin for disposal. Accused and himself, he .alleges, shared in the proceeds.
