The Hauraki Plains County Council has been advised by the Public Works engineer at Paeroa that the plan for the Pipiroa Bridge, over the Piako River has been drawn up and the estimated cost, including an opening span, is £IB,OOO. The Main Highways Board is prepared to subsidise the" cost at the rate of £2 for £■l up to £IO,OOO, and at, £3 for £1 on nil expenditure over that sum.
