DOUBLED IN 20 YEARS LONDON, April IL_ Rates collected for the year lffiffi-O will amount to over £1 tit),ooo,000 nearly £4 n head and more than,double the amount levied 20 years ago. This fact is mentioned by the Minister of Health, Sir Kingsley Wood, in a message to the Incorporated As soeiation of Rating and Valuation Officers, which is to hold its annua! conference in London next week. About a thousand representatives of Government departments, local authorities and general members of the as soeiation will attend. The president, is Mr. Edward C. Brown, chief rating and valuation officer of Weymouth.
