VYliile several hoys were leaving the i Liildford Public- .School ground they observed u large assortment of fireworks displayed in the window of a small shop adjoining the school ground. -As a large number of the hoys stood near Ihe window admiring the lireworks. one Venturesome lad stood back with a magnrl'ving glass focussed on tile wick of a large basket bomb, which soon bc■ame ignited, and in exploding blew the back from the window and scattered (lie display round the occupants of the simp. Several lots ol the lireworks exploded as they I men me. ignited from tile burning fragments of the 'bomb. No persons sustained injury, bid several ■oticles in the shop were damaged. The Inlal damage was estimated at about .020. H is understood that, the- boy’s parents have recouped the shopkeeper.
