DOG TRIAL GAEL (Herald ( 'orrespoiHlcnt.) The annual Dog Trial Ball was held in the Gaiety Theatre. Riuitoria, lasi week and proved a great financial success. People were present from all over the district as well as Gisborne. The stage was artistically decorated with large, bowls oi chrysanthemums and the same decorations were earned out on the supper tables. A sumptuous sit-down savoury supper was served by the local ladies, headed by Mrs. I’. G. Burton. Music was supplied by the Night Owl orchestra, while much appreciated extras were played by Miss tv. Beale and Mr. J. Nope. The duties of M.C. were capably carried out by members of the Dog Trial Committee. The Monte Carlo valso was won by Miss Molly Harding and Mr. A. C. Wood. The Waiapu Dog Trials were run it perfect weather this year, visitors attending from all over the district. Mr. A. G. Wood, Lot tin Point, was tin jttdgc. Some splendid runs were witnessed by those present. Morning tea. luncheon and afternoon tea were provided bv the local ladies.
