OFFENCE REPEATED
GAOL FOR SIX YEARS CUMULATIVE TERMS (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A sentence of six years' gaol with hard labour was passed to-day by Mr. Justice Fair on Frederick Morrison, aged 54 years, retired, for indecent assaults on a boy. In 1032, the accused was sentenced to three years' reformative, detention for a similar offence.
The judge said that the accused had arranged for the boy to live with him and repeated the offences of which he previously was found guilty. "It soenis that nothing can be said to palliate these offences, which were continued over a period of four months," said the judge. "An exemplary sentence must be imposed." He sentenced tnc accused to two years' gaol on each of three charges, the terms to bo cumulative.
