SENTENCES OF DEATH
WRANGELL ISLAND CRIMES MURDERERS TO DIE MOSCOW, May 2.'1. I. D. Simenchuk, the director of the Polar station at Wrnngell Island, who has been on trial on charges of committing two murders and causing another person to commit suicide, and starving the natives, and closing communication with the outsido world, was sentenced to death. He wept when he heard the verdict.
■Startsev, described at Simenchuk'k "Man Friday," who murdered Dr Wulf'son, was also sentenced to death. He smoked a cigaretto while the court applauded the verdict.
