INCREASING VOLUME
OVERSEAS TRADE FIGURES FOR MARCH (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, April 15. Preliminary figures for overseas trade in March show a substantial increase in imports and a small increase in exports, compared with March of 1935. Last month the exports amounted to £36,510,000 compared with £3,5,111,000 a month, before and £35,952,000 a year ago. Reexports totalled £5,900,000, against £5,651,000 a month previously, and £4,472,000 a year ago. The value of imports was £68,052,000 in March this year, compared with £62,317,000 in February and £60,507,000 in March of 1935.
