WHATATUTU NEWS
GOLF CLUB TO BE FORMED (Herald Correspondent.) On Wednesday evening golf enthusiasts met to discuss the inauguration of a local golf club. Those who attended the meeting were enthusiastic and it was decided to form links. An offer from enthusiasts in Gisborne to plan out the course, was gratefully accepted. A committee vva's formed with Mrs. C. Gaukrodger chairman, Miss M. Dunfoy secretary, and Miss I. King treasurer. The payment of subscriptions was fixed, and the ladies offered to make flags for the course.
Mr. and Airs. H. Dods have returned to Whatatutu after visiting Auckland. — Miss Gretchen Skeet is paying a visit to Miss G. Moore, Te Hau station. —Mrs. Clark, Stout street, Gisborne, was the guest of her daughter, Mrs. It. Hunter, il Springs Hotel, for the Easter holidays.—Mr. and Mrs. Newman have been the guests of the former's mother at Puha.—Miss Robertson has been visiting Mrs. W. Picken, Whatatutu.
