'QUAKE IN SCOTLAND
PICTURES SWING LONDON, March 10. An earthquake shock, marked, by a rumbling noise and vibration, occurred in the village of Comrie, Central Perth, yesterday. Comrie has been known as a centre of British earthquakes, and hundreds of shocks have been recorded there. This is popularly attributed to the situation of the village on a great geological "fault" which stretches across Scotland from Buchan Ness to the Mull of Kin tyre. _ "Tt was an extraordinary sensation," a woman resident said yesterday. "Strange, underground vibrations lastrd for many seconds. Scores of people heard them and wondered what on earth was happening. "Pictures were set swinging gently on the walls of many houses. The vibrations were most distinct."
