BRITISH CABINET
CHANGES PREDICTED MR. BALDWIN'S POSITION LONDON. April 5. The Daily Mail states that important changes jn tho Cabinet may be effected about the beginning of June. The Prime Minister, Mr. Baldwin, who during the general election campaign hinted that, he would not tight another election, originally intended to resign after tho King's coronation in 1937. It is now likely, pays tho paper, that he will resume his former post, of Lord President of the. Council, because of his increasing deafness, which is a handicap to leadership in the House of Commons. Mr. Neville Chamberlain, now Chancellor of the Exchequer, may become Prime Minister, and .Sir Samuel Hoare, formerly Foreign, Secretary, may lake, over the Chancellorship. It is believed, says the Mail, that Sir Robert Home, a former Chancellor of the Exchequer, may become Foreign Minister, unless Viscount. Halifax, Lord Privy Seal, who is desirous of retiring from active public life, can be persuaded to succeed Mr! Anthony Eden. Mr. Ramsey MacDonald is expected to become Lord Privy Seal.
