£4OOO AWARD TO WIDOW
AIR LINE APPEALS LONDON, Feb. 4. An award of i'-tOOO to trie widow and child of a man who was lulled in an air crash ;» to be the subject of a High Court appeal next month. It win be the first appeal of its kind to be heard in this country. Imperial Airways, Limited, have lodged an appeal against the judgment of Mr. Justice Lewis in I lie King's Bench Division last October, awarding £4OOO damages to an American woman, Mrs. Else Charlotte Orein —£3500 to herself and £SOO for her (laughter—."or the loss of her husband.
Mr. Grein and nine other people were killed when the air liner Apollo crashed into a radio mast tit Riiysselede, Belgium, in December, 10.°..'!. Leading counsel have been briefed, and the appeal will probably be heard lu carlv .March.
