ROBES FOR CORONATION
WILL COST £160,000, LONDON, Feb, 25. Peers and peeresses will spend £160,0C0 on their Coronation robes, which they are now ordering. The cloth—crimson velvet of a deep ecclesiastitel hue—takes six months -'to manufacture in the north of England. Nearly 1600 robes have to be made. Robes cost £BS each; coronets a mere £lB. . Those coronets have set a pretty problem for young peeresses. They are made to fix in cojled-up hair. Bobbed or shingled hair will not keep them in place.
