OBITUARY
MRS. DAVID DONALD An early Wairarapa settler, Mrs. David Donald, died at her residence, Johnstone street, Masterton, on Monday at the age of 86. Mrs. Donald, who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Gordon, Tawa Flat, had lived in New Zealand for 84 years. She came to the Dominion at the'age of two years, and lived at Tawa Flat until in 1872 she married Mr. David DonaTcl, "Hoinebush," Masterton, who died in December, 1933. She was a foundation member of the Methodist Ladies' Guild and Missionary Auxiliary, and also the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Mrs. Donald is survived by a family of five—Messrs. J. Andrew Donald, Homebusb • Albert Donald, Masterton; and Arthur Donald. Tolaga Bay; Mrs. F. Q Daniell and Miss M. Donald, both of Masterton. There are 27 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
