TOKOMARU BAY NEWS
TENNIS DANCE (Herald Correspondent.) At the conclusion of the tennis tournament conducted on the Tokoniaru Bay courts during the Easter holidays, the committee organised a dance in the Gaiety Theatre on Tuesday evening. There was a fair attendance, and all spent a very happy time. The Wi Ilapi orchestra supplied the music. The M.G. was Mr. J. Todd. Extras were contributed by Misses D. Conole and O. Ransley, and Messrs. K. Risebprough and T. Godber. A savoury supper was served by the ladies. Among those present were:—Mesdamos J. Todd, G. Eivers, C. Jofferd, W. McCnll.och, R. C. Tuke, Prisk, T. G. White (Gisbome), and Faram; Misses B. Eivers, D. I'cpper, N. Hill, D. Tait, N. Trafford,' M. Maekay, M. Corbeit, B. Oates, D. Conole, N. O'RourkCj 0. Ransley, E. Whitta, N. Walworth, D. Sheather (Tolaga Bay), D. Larson, .1. Jefford, M. Smith (Gisbome), F. McCulloch, S. Muir (Gisborn.e), B, Colebvook, M. Mc.Ghee, B. Forrester, L. Ronnie, N. Hewitson, and I. Colebro.ok; Mr. and Mrs. >S. Doig and Miss B. Dpig were visitors to Gisbome for the Jackson-Morris wedding this week. —Miss Woollam, Rntorua, and Mr. .1. Jackson, Te Teko, visited Tokoinaru Bay last week-end.—Miss S. Muir, Gisb.orrie, has been the guest of Mrs. 0. Bowen, Tokomaru Bay.—Mr. H. R. Brown, of Tokomaru Bay, who was recontly transferred to. Wairoa, has since been sent to the P. and T. Department in Napier.—Mr. F. R. Brown, of the Bank of New South Wales, is spending his annual leave in Auckland. Mr. J. Barton, Ruatoria, has become an additional member of the staff in Tokomaru Bay.—Mrs. T. J. Morrison, Tokomaru Bay, is on holiday iii Napier. —Mrs. R. J. Stevens and Miss Jean Stevens, Hauturu, are spending a short while in Tokomaru Bay, and have taken the house of Captain and Mrs. Angus while the latter are on holiday in Auckland.
