ROWING
GISBORNE CLUB COMMITTEE MEETING The weekly meeting of the committee of the Gisbornc Rowing Club was held last evening in the clubhouse. Mr. C. 11. Sceats presided over the following: Messrs. K. A. Bell, R. Hanna, R. Mahon, D. F. Muir, S. W. Bruce, R. Coleman, and the lion, secretary, Mr. A. F. Allen. Apologies were received from Messrs. K. Crarer and D. Jones. It was decided to row the Cox Doubles series oif on Saturday week, when the afternoon will be set aside for the event. The series will be on a handicap basis over the three-quarter of a mile course. Members are to select their own partners and have their entries in before Thursday. On behalf of the social sub-committee, Mr. Bruce submitted the following dance committee to the meeting for its approval: Messrs. Bell, Bruce, Muir, C. McLernon, M. Dobson, R. S. Kinder and R. IT. Matthews. The committee was approved. Messrs. Allen and Coleman were appointed the visiting committee for the ensuing week.
