Bough weather was experienced by the Auekland-Oisboine Transport Company's truck last night on the run from Taneatua to Opotiki, and it finally arrived in ■Gisborno at 10.15 a.m. to-day. At. to-day's meeting of tho Poverty Bay Kleelric Power Board, tho finance committee recommended that a donation of £25 should be made towards the funds of the Cisborne and District Beautifying Association. Hall, slated that there had been some criticism of the necessary wilting "back of trees hy tho board's staff, where growth threatened the safety of the lines and involved possible danger to life and property, and the donation was designed as a. friendly gesture to the, association, and an earnest of the board's sympathy with its work.
