TWO-THREE-TWO SCRUM
WISH IN SOUTHLAND VOTING BY DELEGATES (Per Press Association.) IXVKROA'KCILL, last night. The Southland Rugby Union, at its animal meeting to-night, decided to press for a reversion to the 2-3-2 scrum formation throughout. New Zealand. Mr. A. J. Gcodes, a former New Zealand selector, said that there was no doubt about the 2-3-2 being the best scrum, but questioned whether it was advisable to introduce it generally, owing to Ihe coming visit of the South African and Australian teams. The proposal was carried by an overwhelming! majority.
OTAGO VIEW EMPHATICTOUCH KICK RULE OPPOSED (Per Press Association.) DUNEDiN, last night. A resolution was almost .unauiniously carried at the annual meeting of the Otago Rugby Union to-night favouring a return to "the. 2-3-2 scrum and the introduction of a rule providing for an imaginary line through the middle of the scrum. The meeting was just as unanimous in opposing! the re-introduction of the amended kick into touch rule.
