Recovering from prostration., which followed the assassination at Cork of Vice-Admiral Henry Boyle Somerville, Mrs. Somerville, who is an Australian, relates that she and her husband were dining at 9.15 p.m., when there, was a knock on the glass porch door which her husband answered. She heard a man ask if he was Somerville, and then a fusillade of shots. The wind had blown out the hall lamp. She called to her husband and received no reply; She found him dead/ in the porchway with four wounds in his bodyMrs. Somerville states that she heard the retreating steps of two men. .The Skibberecn correspondent of the News-Chronicle says that pinned to Admiral Somerville's body was a card I stating; "This, is a warning to all | British recruiting agents."
