ADDITIONAL EXPENDITURE
CANBERRA, March 10,
Mr. R. A. Parkliill, Minister for Defence, gave an emphatic denial to-day to published reports that the Commonwealth Government contemplated the reintroduction of compulsory training.
However, the Military Board had furnished a number of recommendations for improving the militia recruiting figures, which would involve an additional expenditure and which would receive the Cabinet’s consideration.
