Inspector G. B. Edwards, of the Wellington Police Force, is visiting Gisborne on departmental business.

Mr. Henry Kitson, chairman of tlie Christchurch Stock Exchange and president of the Associated Stock Exchanges of New Zealand, was a visitor at tlie morning call to the Sydney Slock Exchange yesterday, states a Press Association message. He was welcomed by the chairman, Mr. E. G. Blackmore.

Squadron-Leader G. G. Banting, accompanied by Mrs. Bunting, is at present visiting New Zealand, on his way to England, after having been attached to the Royal Air Force in Australia for (he past two years. Squadron-Leader Banting lias been on exchange in the service of the Royal Australian Air Force, and before returning to England will spend about a fortnight in the Dominion sightseeing.

Dr. I. J. Cumiingliam, of the Wallaceville Laboratory, who left Wellington last week to study veterinary science at the Sydney University Veterinary College, will continue with his nutritional research work at Wallaceville oil completing his course in three years time. During his absence, his wife, Dr. Marion Cunningham, who is also a member of the laboratory staff, will bo doing the research work formerly done by her husband. New Zealand has another scientist of the same name, Dr. 0. 11. Cunningham, who recently resigned his position in charge of the plant research station {not Massey Agricultural College! at Palmerston North, but. subsequently agreed lo continue bis research work into plant diseases.
