BURGLARIES ADMITTED

COOK FOR SENTENCE
(Per Prese Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Frederick Jones, aged 54 years, a "ook, pleaded guilty to-day to four charges of burglary, three concerning thefts from the premises of Philips Lamps, Limited, and the other concerning thefts from the premises of Wright, Stephenson, Limited. Alfred Ivan Webb, a clerk employed by Philips Lamps, Limited, said that as .a consequence of bis finding that a drawer in rite office had been broken, stocktaking was ordered and resulted in the discovery that 14 wireless sets were missing. The value totalled £295 17s. The accused was -’committed for sentence.
James Vernon Brown, aged 33 years, motor driver, pleaded not guilty to a charge of receiving six sets, knowing them to have been stolen, and was committed for trial.
