OBITUARY
MR. D. W. ANDERSON (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The death of Mr. David William Anderson occurred yesterday at the age of 70 years. Ho was a well-known retired Wellington business man and a director of the Gear Meat Preserving Company and W. S Woods Company.
MR. W. D. GORHAM (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. The death has occurred of Mr. Walter Daniel Gorham, who had been secretary of the Wellington Woolbrokers' Association for 20 years. He had been a resident of Wellington for more than JO years. The funeral, which took place today, was largely attended.
Matron Catherine McCormack, one of the two police matrons attached to the Central Police Station in Christchurcli, died in Lewisham Hospital on Tuesdayafter an illness lasting, nearly two months. Matron McCormack was a police matron in Christchurcli for more than 21 years, and was well,known and popular, not only within, the Police Force, but. throughout the qty. Matron McCormack was the fourth daughter ot Mr. Owen McCormack and Mrs. Bridget McCormack. She came to New Zealand with • her parents from Ireland nearly 60 years ago, and lived most of her lite in Christchurcli.
