Advice has been received in Wanganui that sketch plans for the new chief Post Office are in the course of preparation. At present, all post office business is not conducted in the existing premises, and when the new building is erected considerable inconvenience will be overcome. For several years negotiations have been in progress, for an up-to-date ling, and six months ago the Government placed the sum of £6OOO on the estimates for this purpose.
