INTOXICATED MOTORIST
FINE OF £lO IMPOSED 1 Arrested on the Te Awamutu-Cnm-bridge main highway, at Hairini, Robert Bell, a Cambridge businessman, was charged before .justices of the peace with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car. Bell pleaded guilty. The police"stated that accused said he understood there was no offence, as he had asked a woman accompanying him to drive. He did not know that hie was legally in charge of the vehicle. He was arranging to take out a prohibition order. Accused was fined £lO, and required to take out the prohibition order.
