JAPANESE FISHERIES PROPOSAL APPROVED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) TOKIO. .lan. 22. Before the dissolution of tile Diet, Count Seiiiosuke Kato, in Ihe House of' Peers, urged the Government to encourage .'fisheries, .particularly in the southern seas, as a partial solution of the population problem, and asked for tlic navy's co-operation.
The Prime Minister and (he Minister of Agriculture replied favorably, and Admiral Osnmi promised the navy's full co-operation.
