WORKERS FLEE FOR LIFE
BIG BLAZE IN SYDNEY DAMAGE TOTALS £40,000 (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) SYDNEY. .lan. 22. Over 200 employees were forced io flee for their lives, and two firemen were injured when fire gutted a building occupied by Harringtons Metallurgists, limited, and the Raycophono Company in the suburb of Annandale late to-day. Damage estimated: at £40,000 was caused before the fire was, controlled.
The building contained a quantity o! inflammable film, in addition to 500 gallons of petrol.
