BULLET WOUND IN HEAD

PUTARURU FATALITY Evidence respecting the cause of the death of Jay Willis Wilson, aged 65, boarding house proprietor, I'utaruru, who died in the Waikato Hospital on January 9 as the result of a gunshot wound in the head, was given by Dr. D. F. Price, of the Waikato Hospital staff, at the inquest before the coroner, Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., at Hamilton.

Dr. Price said that an X-ray examination revealed a bullet in the centre of deceased's brain. The nature and site of the wound suggested that it had been self-inflicted. The cause of death was laceration of the, brain. Further evidence will be heard at Putarurn at a later date.
