ALLIANCE DENIED
GERMANY AND JAPAN AID AGAINST AGGRESSION (Reed. Jan. 21, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 20. The Morning Post’s Berlin correspondent says it is stated in well informed political circles that a military agreement between Germany and Japan was signed in Tokio on January 4, under which in the event of either nation being attacked the other is pledged to come to its assistance.
It need hardly he said that Russia is the aggressor contemplated, adds the correspondent.
It is officially denied in Tokio and Berlin, however, that Germany and Japan have concluded an alliance.
