HINDU-MOSLEM STRIFE
TWO KILLED IN RIOT FIFTY SUFFER INJURIES CALCUTTA, Dec. 28. Two persons were killed and 50 wore injured during Hindu and Mohammedan rioting at Deshabandu Park. Fifteen were sent to hospital. The trouble was due to the golden jubilee of the National Congress clashing with the Mohammedan religious festival. The Mohammedans objected to the Hindus drowning their players with slogans. Brickbats and stones flew and laths were wielded before the police suppressed, the riot.
