POVERTY BAY CLUB MANY FRIENDLY GAMES Some 60 bowlers met in friendly encounters at the Poverty Bay Bowling Club’s green on Saturday. Competition games took preference, whilst a number of friendly matches were played, a real holiday spirit prevailing throughout the day. Hartley and Gardner played convincing bowls in the Champion Pairs, defeating Slight and McKenp.ie, whilst Crawford and Elliott secured a meiitorious win over Ritchie and Buzza.
