LINER QUEEN MARY
INTERIOR DECORATION 50 VARIETIES OF WOOD (British Official Wireless.) Recti. 9.30 ,a.m. RUGBY, Nov. 6. No less than 50 varieties of wood are to bo used in the interior decoration of the liner Queen Mary. They include rare varieties such as betula, patapsko, makore, and zebrano. The accommodation in the now liner is being planned to give the maximum of sunshine. The number and size of the windows is exceptional. The children ’s playroom, for example, will have five 12ft. windows and a verandah. The grill, room will have no less than 22 windows. A statement that when the Queen Mary joins the company’s .fleet, the liner Berengaria. will be withdrawn from the service was not authorised by the Cunayd-White Star Line.
