CAR SOMERSAULTS
CASSKXGKR PINNED DOWN While being driven to his home at Waiteknuri in a motor-ear. Mr. Frederick Butcher met with a painful accident. and was taken later to the Wailn Hospital, When Die vehicle was approaching the lop of what is known as the long , hill the glare of the. sun momentarily alfeeled the view of the driver, with the result that Iho ear swerved, ran over the hank and turned a somersault, coming to rest upside down with its 11 1 roe occupants inside. The driver and a girl who was being given a lift managed to scramble out, practically unhurt, but Mr. Butcher was pinned face downward. With the aid of a piece of timber the driver a Item j)lcd to lever the car oil', but tln\ timber snapped and the vehicle fell hack'. Assistance was then obtained and Me. Butcher was extricated in a state of semi-consciousness.
