Blue Butter!
JF farmers wish to secure extremely yellow coloring in butter, they should feed carrots to their cows.
This advice was tendered by Dr F. W. McDowall, of the Dairy Research Institute, at a meeting of the Manawatu branch of the Royal Society. He said that in the past few years it *had been ascertained that vitamin A was closely related to the yellow Coloring matter in butter. This coloring matter in butter was very similar to the orange coloring in carrots so that if one wanted to obtain - extremely yellow coloring in butter, I carrots should be fed to cows.
