(Received July 17, 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 16. At Bonneville, Salt Flats, Utah, the London triumvirate, John Cobb, T. E. Rose-Richards, and C. J. P. Dodson, shattered 74 international class A world's unlimited and American motoring records in a 24-hour test over Salt Flat*.
Cobb started and finished the day and night run, but the others were largely responsible for making up much of the time lost in the pits and with tvrs t rouble. The average tor the 24 hours was 137.7 miles an hour, bettering the mark of 127.22 miles per hour by A. B. Jenkins, the Utah driver, a few weeks ago.
The drivers were beset by heat, winds, and adverse conditions.
