Four persons were killed and «ix in jured in another outburst, of religious • trite to-da v.
A group of Catholic students jour neved lo Villa llermosa, in the State of' Tabasco, to petition the Radical Govcnor, Senor Thomas Garrido Y. Canabal, one of the leading antiCatholics in Mexico, to ease the campaign against the church. They were walking along the street when a group of machine gunners in an automobile, alleged to be supporters of Senor Cnnabal, opened tire and mowed the students down.
The survivors took refuge in build ings. They have telegraphed the Con fcral Government asking for military intervention.
Senor Canabal held an important place in the Federal Cabinet, but in the recent shake-up he was ousted by the Catholic elements.
