Sir,-r-Tn reference to a report which appeared in your issue of Monday evening of a meeting of representatives of East Coast dairy companies, held last Saturday afternoon, we wish to state that, by resolution passed in tbe morning, the subsequent meeting was of n strictly confidential nature. In View of this and the suggestion
of unanimity wrongly given by the report, and also its inaccuracy, it becomes our duty to state that the Okitu Cooperative Dairy Company was not in favor of the resolution, nor has it any intention of seeking amalgamation with any other Gisborne company, or abandoning any of its present activities.— (Sgd.)
