In making the presentation, the chairman of directors, Mr F. B. Benner, congratulated Mr Purvis on his promotion* to New Plymouth and on the thoroughness with which he had carried out his duties. Professor of -Nutrition at Washington State College, Dr F. N. Todliunter, M.H.Se. (N.Z.) Ph.D. (Columbia Univer* sitv) is. revisiting'New Zealand at present 'after"-' Jiii absence of over sii years in America, where she has specialised in the study of bio-chemistry. Dr Todhunter graduated from the University of Otago in 1928 as. the first master of home science in New Zealand and spent the early part of her American work at lowa ' State College, and then •live years at Columbia University, New York.
