R.S.A. HALL Last Thursday night the Returned Soldiers' Ball was held in the Reynolds thill. Tolaga Bay, and there was a large number of visitors from the. Coast and Gishnrne, as well as local sympathisers of this very meritorious movement. The ladies were responsible for eharminp Moral decorations in the hall and vesti lude, wliile the supper tables were frag rant with piuk camellias and daphne I euutifully arranged in bronze vases The innsie was supplied by a Gisborin orchestra, extras being played by Mis 1 Day and Mr. T. Lock wood.

During the evening a presentation was (nude by Air. W. Loekwood, president of the Tolaga Day Rugby Sub-union, to Mr. 'J'. Reid, who is leaving with the All Black Rugby players. He wished Mr. Heid a pleasant trip and a sale home-coming, and hoped that his Tolaga Bay admirers would hear nothing but eulogistic reports of his progress at Home. Mr. Reicl responded suitably, and was accorded musical honors.

Poverty Ray divi sional commissioner of Girl Guides, visited Tolaga Bay last Friday after noon and gave a most interesting tall: to members of the committee and Girl Guides. Unfortunately the weather prevented a number from attending. The commissioner gave those present an interesting account of her visit lo the Auckland Provincial Girl Guide llallv. held in February, to commemorate the visit to New Zealand of Lord ami Lady Baden-Powell.
