IMPROVED RESULTS NEWTON KING, LIMITED Tlie. report and balance-sheet of Newton King, Limited, to. be presented at the annual meeting on July 31,jhows a net profit for the year ended April 30 last of £10,077 7s 7*d. This lias reduced the accumulated deficit brought forward from previous years to £26,760 19s Id. The directors report improved trading in spite of the fact that the year has been by no,means free from difficulties. Full allowance has been made for depreciation and maintenance charges to the extent of £7210 4s sd, and the directors are also satisfied .that adequate provision has been made in respect of the merchandise stocks and book debts. During the year, expenses had been strictly controlled, and this, in conjunction with increased gross earnings owing to an unproved turnover, had enabled a better net result to lie achieved.
