AVai'roa, and Tokoinant Bay tournaments. • Tlie'rep'oH is‘as under: —■' "Finance,—The statement of income ’ shows : a small surplus on the club’s operations for the year.; Several matters have combined to bring about this result, . chiefly the amounts received- from 'donations - and levy, and the income, from the croquet club. It lias been a difficult year and the items of -'expenditure have been .earetullyj watched. The committee appreciates the help tendered by imertibers in generous donations and in payment of the levy.; The conversion of the mortgage to a flat basis has been extended for a further j year. There are no outstanding, sub-, ascriptions for the season, every member ’having paid his vear’s subscription in full. •‘Membership.—The membership roll for the season was 84 active and ¥4 'honorary members, and one life rrtem-j ,'ber. A'feature of the season just ended was the unusually large number of new, who joined up. I 1,-: {‘Obituary.—lt" is with deep regret, that- we record the death of Air P. A.; .Munro-, an active member of the comj mittee and ‘an enthusiastic player.- The Jate Mr. Munro..-served'his fellow mem , bers faithfully in his capacity as com-j mittee man, and his. absence from oui numbers will be sadly felt. We regret! also the ; passing of another old and esteemed member, All- A. Park. To MrJ .Tames Hay and Mr D. W. lies we ex-i teiid our sympathy in their respective bereavements during- the season. “Greens.—'The greens have been maintained sit fair order during the season. A considerable sum has been expended on •’themfe recently, and further treat* m'ent is projected before the new season opens. • W-e record our appreciation to Air Graham for his excellent work as groundsman. . “Season’s Play.—The club lias had a .'good season on tho greens, and the weather conditions have been, generally favorable. J. K. Nasmith, F. Williams, and H. A. Armstrong. “Croquet Club.—The ladies' croquet club has had a very successful season, having had the use of the small bowling green for most of the year. Their activities will probably be curtailed somewhat next season owing to both greens being required by bowlers in view of the Saturday - half-holiday.

“Thanks.—The committee expresses its appreciation to tho ladies for their assistance at all times. Our thanks are clue to those members who tendered donations to our funcTs; to Messrs G. Henderson, A. Hay and B. Sutton for free services rendered; to Mr J. Iv. Popple and to the- press. We also thank Mr E. T.
